The Program on Constitutional Government (PCG) is pleased to present a seminar talk with Stan Veuger, "Health Care and Tax Reform in 115th Congress."
Stan Veuger is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where his research is in political economy and public finance. He is also the editor of AEI Economic Perspectives. Veuger has been a visiting lecturer of economics at Harvard University, and is a fellow at the Center for the Governance of Change at the IE School of International Relations in Madrid. He received his PhD and AM in economics from Harvard. Stan Veuger: “Unified Republican government after the 2016 election brought with it hopes of fundamental reform of health care and tax policy. Repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act turned out to be harder than expected, and progress on tax policy reform options that are acceptable to the full Republican coalition has been slow as well. Where does domestic policy go from here? What are the priorities of the different factions of the (center-)right, and how compatible are they?”
The Program on Constitutional Government at Harvard University is directed by Harvey Mansfield. PCG Seminar talks are open to the public but RSVP is required. RSVP to email@example.com.
