Alexander Park

Alexander Park is a recipient of a 2022 CAPS Undergraduate Summer Thesis Research Grant. His proposed thesis is entitled, “Determinants of Asian American Voter Turnout in 2020.”

Proposal synopsis:
While Asian Americans have historically been among the least politically active racial groups, their voter turnout rate increased by 10% between 2016 and 2020the largest increase among any racial group in that time period. I will interview Asian American voters, political operatives and organizers, and political elites in order to gather data about what drove this turnout increase. My fieldwork will be in GA due to the supposedly high Asian American political activity in the state in 2020.
