Daniel Alain Evrard is a PhD candidate in sociology and a Stone scholar in Inequality and Wealth Concentration. Broadly, D. A. is interested in socio-political and institutional adaptations to economic transitions and the distributional consequences of those adaptations for communities. In his dissertation, he examines how different scalar manifestations of the American state are managing the transition to renewable energy in one of the largest fossil fuel producing counties in the United States.
