My research interests are broadly related to race/ethnicity, incarceration, and their intersection in the American political context. I am presently studying the impact of skin-tone on during-incarceration outcomes, such as security classifications. In a separate project, I am investigating the impact having an extended family member incarcerated has on individuals’ perceived wellbeing.
