Janna Ramadan is a recipient of a 2022 CAPS Undergraduate Summer Thesis Research Grant. Her proposed thesis is entitled, “Israel, Palestine, and The Shifting American Public.”
Proposal synopsis:
My thesis will address how different elite actors, defined to include politicians, international organizations, and celebrities, shape present American public opinion on Palestine and Israel. I will collect original survey data through DLABBS and the CAPS Harris Poll, on the impact of exposure to elite actors, and conduct deep interviews in cities with large Arab populations.
