Jesse Robertson
Ph.D. Candidate in History

Jesse Robertson is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at Harvard University. He studies the political economy of twentieth-century U.S. defense spending, focusing on the relationship between domestic politics and foreign policy, labor and militarism, and role of the state in shaping markets. In particular, he is interested in how these dynamics manifested in Southern California, a region profoundly shaped by U.S. empire and military mobilization.
