My ongoing research focuses on environmental racism and inequality, namely Black communities’s experiences with environmental racism. I specifically examine the question: How does the intersection between patterns of land development and culture shape local manifestations of environmental racism? I conduct my research with a place-based approach to understand how community relations and planning patterns shape locales.
