My research agenda centers on immigration, race and ethnicity as a process shaping the lived experiences of racialized populations. I have empirically drawn from the case of race and ethnicity in Peru, as well as that of Venezuelan immigrants in the same country. Currently, I am developing a project around how the political landscape of country of origin shapes the beliefs and views on different social issues among first- and second-generation Hispanic/latinx immigrants in the US.
