Sydney Sanders

Sydney Sanders is a recipient of a 2023 CAPS Undergraduate Summer Thesis Research Grant. Sydney’s proposed thesis is entitled, “Labor Organizing and Queer Extra-Governmental Protections.”

Proposal synopsis: I plan to survey and ethnographically interview queer labor organizers in Starbucks unions across Boston to ascertain how their queer identities motivate their organizing and how extra-governmental LGBTQ+ protections are included in their resulting collective bargaining agreements.
