Hope is a 2021 CAPS Undergraduate Fellow, writing a thesis entitled “Tracking the Impact of Voter Suppression Laws in the United States during a Pandemic”

Thesis synopsis:

I would like to observe the impact of voter suppression laws in the United States during the 2020 election, particularly, how the current laws in place may have been exacerbated by the pandemic. I plan on looking at urban areas in GOP controlled swing states and compare voter turnout records from previous election years.
