Nicholas Short
Ph.D. Candidate in Government

Nicholas Short’s research focuses on the politics of the American knowledge economy and the ways in which the American knowledge economy produces economic, geographic, and political inequality. A core contention in Nicholas’ research is that the American knowledge economy is not premised on the production of knowledge per se but on the production of intellectual property. Nicholas is especially interested in the politics of reforms to patent, antitrust, and trade policy that facilitated the knowledge economy transition.
